Oberholz and tortellini from Valeggio sul Mincio in an unprecedented combination.

Following the successful launch of their culinary partnership, Obereggen in the Latemar Dolomites ski area and the historic restaurant ‘Alla Borsa’ in Valeggio sul Mincio are holding a second event.

On Saturday 31 January, an extraordinary live cooking event will take place at the Oberholz mountain hut, which is located at an altitude of 2,096 metres. Considered an architectural gem of the Dolomites, the alpine hut towers above the historic Oberholz slope. The event will focus on the legendary handmade tortellini from Valeggio, which are traditionally made by local women for the Alla Borsa restaurant.

The culinary experience begins at midday with an aperitif: a glass of Lugana DOC from the renowned Ottella winery in San Benedetto di Lugana (Peschiera del Garda), accompanied by a fried tortellino from Alla Borsa.

On this day, the mountain hut’s menu will feature only two tortellini starters. Guests can choose between the classic Valeggio tortellini, known as ‘Nodo d’amore’, and the specially created ‘Latemar’ tortellini. The latter combines the fine tradition of Valeggio tortellini with regional products from the Latemar area, such as alpine cheese with the aroma of hay schnapps produced in South Tyrol’s Eggental Valley.
